Everything you need to know about lip blush
What is Lip Blush?
Lip blushing is one of the wide array of semi-permanent makeup options. Essentially, it is a cosmetic tattoo developed to enhance the color and/or shape of ones lips. Improving the shape of the lips can go a long way in giving definition and the illusion of fullness. This procedure delivers low-maintenance natural results, once healed. Filler is great for creating volume in your lips, but lip blush delivers a more natural look and both options have their respective benefits.
How Long Does it Last?
Generally, lip blush along with all permanent makeup can last you a couple of years, although many factors can contribute to how well it retains. Some more common contributors to fading include oily skin, iron deficiencies and excessive use of exfoliating products.
What is The Process?
A technician uses a permanent makeup machine, similar to that of a traditional tattoo machine. The difference is in the technology and needles used. Permanent makeup machines normally accept cartridges which hold a tiny needle used for the pigment embedding. The needles used are so tiny, a majority of clients opt out of numbing and feel little discomfort during the procedure.
What to expect.
The procedure takes normally one to two hours, depending on the desired result you are looking for. Once finished, our lips may be a bit swollen. The lips will start to heal during the first week, and scabbing is expected. Once the healing process is complete, the color will fade to about 40 percent and blend in with the natural lip color.
